Salam Persaudaraan,

Shorinji Kempo has marked its 60th anniversary in 2007. At such mature age, Shorinji Kempo has contributed many to the people all over the world, including Indonesia. To us the essence of Shorinji Kempo symbolizes mind and feeling, expressions and conduct as men with full responsibility to themselves and to others.

The characters of "Strength to Live" and "Courage to Love" have grown and arisen in our spirit to work and to create both in internal and external surroundings. Based on the spirit of Bushido, we are enriched with mentality to move forward, no retreat. We should only delve into potentials to create real expression through works, beneficial and useful to the society.

Based on the spirit grown within ourselves through body and mental training from Shorinji Kempo, the Indonesia Shorinji Kempo Federation are prepared and ready to hold the 2009 Shorinji Kempo International Taikai in Denpasar, Bali, on the 25th and 26th of July 2009. We pledge ourselves to do our best and are more than happy to welcome you all in Denpasar, Bali, to attend and participate in the 2009 Shorinji Kempo International Taikai, which will be held in conjunction with the 17th National Open Championship
